Jean-Calixte Gros

Jean-Calixte Gros is a French actor and director based in Paris. With an international background and fluency in English, Arabic, and Spanish, he works across languages and borders. After completing a degree in Arabic and International Relations, he trained as an actor at the renowned Cours Simon drama school.He has since appeared in the acclaimed short film Echo by Hadrien Fiere, as well as in award-winning commercials, including Mais t’es fou by Katia Lewkowicz for Intermarché (2023), and a national campaign for Betclic directed by Valentin Guiod (2024). He delivered a powerful performance on stage in Musset’s Les Caprices de Marianne at Théâtre des Mathurins in 2024. In 2025, he starred in his first feature film, And Then Comes Winter, an American-Saudi co-production directed by Gigi Hozimah, currently in post-production. He also plays the title role in Jules Verne's Le Voyage Extraordinaire, an immersive theatre experience produced by Polaris, running in Paris until November. A passionate storyteller, Jean-Calixte is also developing his screenwriting projects.

Jean-Calixte Gros est un comédien et metteur en scène français basé à Paris. Fort d’un parcours international et parlant couramment l’anglais, l’arabe et l’espagnol, il évolue aisément dans des projets multilingues. Après des études en arabe et relations internationales, il se forme au métier d’acteur au sein du prestigieux Cours Simon.Il joue ensuite dans le court-métrage remarqué Echo de Hadrien Fiere, ainsi que dans plusieurs campagnes publicitaires primées, dont Mais t’es fou de Katia Lewkowicz pour Intermarché (2023), et une publicité nationale pour Betclic réalisée par Valentin Guiod (2024). Au théâtre, il se distingue dans Les Caprices de Marianne de Musset, au Théâtre des Mathurins en 2024. En 2025, il tient le premier rôle dans le long métrage And Then Comes Winter, une coproduction américano-saoudienne réalisée par Gigi Hozimah, actuellement en postproduction. Il incarne également le rôle-titre dans le spectacle immersif Jules Verne, Le Voyage Extraordinaire, produit par Polaris, à l’affiche à Paris jusqu’en novembre. Passionné par la narration, Jean-Calixte développe aussi ses propres projets d’écriture pour l’écran.
