Pauline Raybaud

Pauline Raybaud is a French-Belgian actress, author, and performer. She studied Fine Art at Central Saint Martins, London, specialising in analogue photography and filmmaking—disciplines she later merged with writing and performance art. Her interdisciplinary practice led her into literature and theatre, culminating in dual Master’s degrees at the Sorbonne in Paris. She went on to train as an actress in both Paris (Laboratoire de l’Acteur) and London (Actors Crib), integrating acting and directing within her artistic approach. Working between Paris and London, with a studio base in her hometown of Ghent, Belgium, Raybaud is fluent in French, Flemish, and English, with working knowledge of German and Spanish. She is currently expanding her practice internationally. Drawing inspiration from literature and mythology, her work is infused with poetry while engaging critically with the contemporary film industry through a distinctly feminine lens.

‍Pauline Raybaud est une actrice, autrice et performeuse franco-belge. Elle étudie les Beaux-Arts à Central Saint Martins, à Londres, où elle se spécialise en photographie argentique et en cinéma, disciplines qu’elle mêle ensuite à l’écriture et à la performance. Cette pratique transversale la conduit vers la littérature et le théâtre, et à l’obtention de deux Masters à la Sorbonne, à Paris. Elle se forme parallèlement au jeu d’acteur à Paris (Laboratoire de l’Acteur) et à Londres (Actors Crib), intégrant dans son travail les arts de la scène, tant dans le jeu que dans la mise en scène. Elle travaille aujourd’hui entre Paris et Londres, avec un atelier basé dans sa ville natale de Gand, en Belgique. Trilingue en français, flamand et anglais, avec des notions d’allemand et d’espagnol, elle développe actuellement sa pratique à l’international. Inspirée par la littérature et la mythologie, son œuvre est empreinte de poésie et interroge les enjeux de l’industrie cinématographique contemporaine à travers un regard féminin.
